a little more greenery in the studio now.. :)
This is a keeping of the Artwork of Carol Roque.
An emerging artist, who some random person once described as having "a broken soul".
Whose only dream is to paint for a living.
Just trying to survive in life by sharing her artwork.

Drawing for a new painting I’m working on. :) real excited for this one!
This is a doodle I made yesterday when I got out of the house for a break at a coffee shop downtown. It’s a sketch for a future painting I will make. Which will probably be a part of a series of paintings for BrokeBot, collaborative art that I make with Aldo.
“It Just Slipped Out” by BrokeBot | Digital Mixed Media
I’m sorry for I know not what I say
Lets pretend I meant it another way
I didn’t mean to say it so soon
Can’t we just blame it on the moon
I wish I could explain what it’s all about
I’m sorry…it just slipped out.

“A Koi One” by BrokeBot | Digital Mixed Media
“Don’t be A Koi One” he said teasingly
She didn’t respond…she was too distracted
She could feel them brushing against her body
They tickled…she couldn’t help but smile
He thought he was the originator
but even her eyes wouldn’t confirm it.
“Don’t be coy” he whimpered.
She wasn’t trying to be
she just knew something he didn’t
She knew it had to be worth itWe originally made two drastically different pieces starting from the same watercolor sketch, but we didn’t want to post them back to back, so we held off on this one. The other piece we created was “Lovers Soldier On”.
We both prefer this one though:)
just listed in our shop, available as a high quality Art Print!

looking through some of my own shop history.., here’s a little doll I made and sold in 2010. It’s interesting seeing your own work closely again after not looking at it for so long. Her name is Rosie… and her favorite things are red tulips and strawberries.

I’m currently in the process of creating new dolls! It’s a long process, but soon They’ll start appearing! :) stay tuned.
I searched up “cute hamster” to find this little bunny. Hamster or bunny?
bunny hamster hybrid. I don’t know if these are real, but they exist in my paintings at least.. and that’s what I like to call them.
Doodling, eating lunch and playing cards right now.. Plus black glitter nail polish today :)
all three of these, I made, and by now have been at new homes for over a year. ..I enjoy looking back at what used to be.

Today’s Work In Progress -just a quick video
I started this painting a while ago. It’s mixed media on illustration board, scanned onto the computer and then digitally painted on. This is it’s current stage. Alllmost finished!
elephantsdreams asked: Hi! its Caro your cousin. i have a new blog on my writing things. remember a few weeks ago i asked you about the upside down horn mountain, well right now my writing is mostly based on a story that includes the mountain. I know it may sound a bit presumptuous on my part, but if I do manage to get it published would you mind making a book cover for it?
Hey Caro. Nice to see you around this corner of the internet..! :)
Sounds cool! Already followed it. Yeah I remember that, the Upside down horn shaped mountain. I doodled it onto a napkin that was on my night stand with a ballpoint pen. Yes, Of course! I would do a cover for your book! Just let me know about it, and I’d try my best to make the ~perfect cover for it :)
outofherhead asked: OMG, I am so glad you like it! I saw your drawing & thought it was wonderful (actually I fell in love with a lot of your work) and that it would go so well with the poem I was writing. I almost sent you an email to ask if you'd mind... I searched tumblr, couldn't find you/didn't see this page. But then later I went and followed some of your links and came across this, I was really thinking about telling you I had posted your work but got sidetracked. But I am elated that you found it!!! :)
Wow, thanks so much! :) So happy to hear feel that way about my artwork. It was fun running into that post you made! The image is from a blog that got kinda hidden away with time. Your poem really did go really well with the drawing! Thanks for posting it, I very much enjoyed the surprise :). <3
current stage. still a work in progress!
